After Dinner

Lean Lego – Led by Ken Perry

The Space Robotics Corporation manufactures state of the art robots used all over the world.  In spite of the recent economic downturn, demand for their robots has been very high.

They have just landed a huge contract that will force them to increase their production 250%.  Since space robots are usually made to order, their factories are setup as job shops.  With this new contract, they are going to have to figure out how to make product faster and with less waste.

Also, as a part of their contract, their new customer, SPACE-Mart, has imposed some very tight restrictions.  They must increase production, but use less materials, labor, and have less waste per robot so as to minimize the impact on the environment.

Time is short!  Help us as we journey to the different Space Robotics Plants and change their processes over to be lean and green ones.

It is our sincere hope that some of the basic concepts you learn from Space Robotics will help you in your Lean journeys in your own companies.
